Pansies are winter annuals in India, meaning they live their entire lifespan in one cool season. To get the maximum number of flowers, you must 'deadhead' them. This means pinching off the old, faded flowers before they can form seed pods. If the plant makes seeds, it stops producing flowers. Keep pinching the dead ones, and it will bloom continuously until the summer heat arrives.
