While Ber can be grown from seeds, vegetative propagation, particularly T-budding or shield budding, is the most common and recommended method for commercial quality and earlier fruiting. Seeds can be soaked in water for 24 hours before planting. For budding, rootstock seedlings are raised from seeds, and then a bud from a desired variety is inserted.
