Terminalia bellirica
Bibhitaki, known in India as Baheda (Terminalia bellirica), is a large deciduous tree native to the Indian subcontinent, growing up to 20-30 meters tall. It is highly valued in Ayurveda for its medicinal fruits, which are a key ingredient in the traditional Triphala formulation. Growing Baheda is moderately easy for Indian home/terrace growers and small farmers, provided adequate space and care are given to this long-lived tree.
