Rhizome division (suckers) is the strongly recommended propagation method, producing pods 1-2 years faster than seeds and having higher success rates. Plant rhizomes 10-15 cm deep. For seeds, pre-soak for 24 hours, sow in rich organic seed starting mix, and maintain warmth and humidity.
