Core care pillars at a glance
Alocasia Polly can cause irritation or illness if chewed or swallowed. Keep it out of reach of pets and small children.
Alocasias grow from thick, tuberous corms under the soil. This makes them highly susceptible to root rot if overwatered, but it also gives them a superpower: if the plant loses all its leaves due to stress or cold, do not throw it away! Keep the soil slightly warm and barely moist, and new leaves will shoot back up from the corm in the spring.
