The Full Picture
Unlike the delicate Alocasia Polly, the Giant Taro is a beast of a grower. To push out leaves that are 2-3 feet long, the plant needs fuel. It is an extremely heavy feeder during the summer. If you do not fertilize it regularly, the plant will cannabilize itself—sacrificing an old leaf every time a new one emerges, leaving you with a perpetually sparse plant.
