How to treat bacterial wilt?

Cut a wilted stem and dip in water — bacterial wilt shows milky threads (ooze test). No chemical cure exists. Remove and destroy the plant. Solarise soil for 3–4 weeks. Use resistant varieties next season. Control root knot nematodes that predispose plants.
