What is papaya ringspot virus?

Papaya ringspot virus causes mosaic yellowing on leaves, distorted leaf margins, and ring or spot patterns on fruit skin. Spread by aphids. Infected plants cannot be cured. Remove them promptly. Control aphid populations with neem oil. Plant resistant varieties like Pusa Dwarf or Red Lady in new pots.
