Why are tomato leaves rolling into tubes?

Physiological leaf roll from heat or drought causes inward curling — leaves stay green and plant recovers with watering. Upward rolling of lower leaves first is normal. If curling spreads with mosaic yellowing and stunting, suspect tomato leaf curl virus spread by whiteflies — remove affected plants promptly.
