Why is my jasmine not flowering?
Jasmine (mogra) flowers on new growth produced after pruning. If you pruned too late (July–August), the plant spends the season regenerating. Prune mogra February–March for peak March–October flowering. Other causes: too much shade (minimum 4–6 hours direct sun); nitrogen-heavy fertiliser (switch to phosphorus-rich at flowering time); or pot too large (reduces flowering urgency). Feed with phosphorus spray to trigger bud initiation.
