When is the best time to plant fruit trees on a terrace?

Plant terrace fruit trees at monsoon onset (June–July) when rainfall reduces watering needs and roots establish quickly. Good container choices: dwarf guava, lemon, curry leaf, pomegranate, fig, and mulberry. Use large containers (50–60 litres) with excellent drainage. Avoid planting in peak summer — heat stress on new roots is difficult to manage.
