How to grow ajwain at home?

Ajwain is an easy, low-maintenance Indian herb. Use a 10–12-inch pot. Sow seeds August–October directly in well-draining soil. The plant grows 60–90 cm tall and is largely drought-tolerant once established. Water moderately. Leaves can be harvested anytime for cooking and chutneys. For seed harvest, wait until flower umbels turn brown, then cut and dry in shade. One plant yields 100–200 g of seeds per season.
