How to grow kale at home in India?

Kale grows well in Indian winters (October–March). Use a 10–12-inch container with well-draining compost-rich soil. Sow seeds directly or transplant seedlings. Kale tolerates partial shade and light frost. Harvest outer leaves from 40 days onwards, leaving the centre to grow. Feed monthly with nitrogen fertiliser. Curly kale and Lacinato (Tuscan) kale are the most widely available varieties in Indian seed shops.
