How to grow ashwagandha in a pot?
Ashwagandha is a low-maintenance medicinal herb suited to Indian climate. Sow seeds June–August in a deep container (12+ inches) with sandy, well-draining soil. Germination in 10–14 days. Water lightly — overwatering causes root rot. Full sun. The plant grows 60–100 cm. Harvest roots after 150–180 days when berries turn red. Dry roots in shade and powder for use. Leaves and berries also have medicinal uses.
