How to grow methi in a shallow container?
Methi needs only 4–6 inches of depth — ideal for shallow trays, old steel thalis, or repurposed food containers. Sow seeds densely across the surface; no spacing needed. Cover with a thin 5 mm layer of soil. Water gently with a sprinkler. Germination in 3–4 days. First harvest at 20–25 days. Cut at 2 cm above soil level — the plant regrows 2–3 times. Sow in shade during February–March to extend the cool season.
