How to grow peas on a terrace?
Peas are a cool-season crop — sow October–December in North India, November–January in the South. Use a container 8–10 inches deep. Best varieties: Arkel, Bonneville, Pusa Pragati. Provide 2–3-foot twiggy sticks or a net trellis. Water moderately — overwatering causes root rot. No heavy fertilising needed as peas fix their own nitrogen. Harvest 60–70 days after sowing when pods are plump.
