How to grow spinach on a terrace?

Spinach grows best October–February in India. Use a container at least 6 inches deep with rich, moisture-retaining soil. Sow seeds 1 inch apart and thin to 3 inches. Varieties: Pusa Bharati, All Green. Water every day in cooler months. Harvest outer leaves from 30 days onwards. Spinach bolts quickly in heat above 30°C — provide shade cloth in late February to extend the season.
