How to grow pomegranate in a pot?
Pomegranate is drought-tolerant and container-friendly. Use a 20-litre pot. Choose Bhagwa or Ganesh varieties for high yield. Full sun, 8 hours minimum. Water deeply but infrequently — pomegranate tolerates dry spells once established. Feed with potassium fertiliser during flowering. Fruit splitting is caused by irregular watering; mulch and consistent irrigation prevents it. Grafted plants from a good nursery fruit in 1–2 years in Indian conditions.
