How to pollinate tomatoes on a terrace?

Tomatoes are self-pollinating but benefit from help on still terraces with few insects. Pollinate in mid-morning when flowers are fully open. Gently vibrate each flower cluster by tapping the stem or using an electric toothbrush held against the stem — this mimics bee buzz-pollination. Alternatively, use a dry paintbrush to transfer pollen between flowers. Do this every 2–3 days during flowering for noticeably improved fruit set.
