How to stake tomato plants on a terrace?
Staking prevents stem damage and improves air circulation. Push a 120–150 cm bamboo stake 15 cm into the pot at planting time. Tie the main stem loosely with soft twine every 20–30 cm as it grows. Alternatively, use a tomato cage placed over the pot — ideal for bush varieties. On windy terraces, use two stakes crossed at 45° for extra stability. Wire spiral supports are reusable across seasons.
