What is the difference between vermicompost and compost?
Compost is decomposed organic material broken down by bacteria and fungi over 2–3 months. Vermicompost is processed by earthworms in 30–45 days and contains 2–3 times more plant-available nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. For container gardens where soil volume is limited, vermicompost gives faster, stronger plant response and is worth the small price premium.
