What is crop rotation and can I do it in pots?
Crop rotation means not growing the same plant family in the same pot for consecutive seasons. In pots, rotate by replacing soil or planting a different family. After tomatoes (nightshades), grow beans (legumes). After spinach (leafy), grow chillies (fruiting). This breaks the cycle of soil-borne pathogens like Fusarium common in Indian terrace soil.
