When to plant marigolds for Diwali flowers?
African marigolds bloom 65–75 days after sowing; French marigolds in 45–55 days. Check this year's Diwali date and count back accordingly. Pinch the first buds to encourage bushy plants with more flowers. Grow in full sun with fortnightly liquid fertiliser. Genda phool varieties like Pusa Narangi give the best results.
