Why are seedlings dying after germination?

Seedlings collapsing at soil level after germination is damping off caused by Pythium, Rhizoctonia, or Fusarium fungi. It is triggered by overwatering, poor drainage, and low airflow. Use sterile seed-starting mix, water from below, provide good ventilation, and drench seedling trays with dilute copper fungicide at sowing time.
