Why does my capsicum have soft spots?

Soft spots on capsicum (bell pepper) fruits are caused by: blossom end rot (dark sunken spot at fruit bottom) — caused by calcium deficiency due to irregular watering; anthracnose fungal disease (circular sunken spots) — spray copper fungicide; or bacterial soft rot triggered by rain splash. For blossom end rot, ensure consistent watering and apply calcium-nitrate foliar spray. Remove and discard all affected fruits to stop spread.
