Why do plants get more disease in monsoon?

Monsoon humidity above 80% combined with temperatures of 25–35°C creates near-perfect conditions for fungal spore germination and bacterial proliferation. Waterlogged soil starves roots of oxygen, weakening plant defences. Reduced sunlight inhibits natural drying of leaf surfaces. These factors combine to make Indian monsoon the highest-risk disease period for terrace gardens.
