Can I grow tomatoes year-round in Mumbai?
Mumbai's heat and humidity make year-round tomato growing possible but challenging. Best seasons: October–February (cool, dry) and June–July (early monsoon, cooler). Avoid March–May (extreme heat, flower drop) and peak monsoon August–September (fungal diseases). Choose fungal-resistant hybrids. Use raised grow bags on pallets to improve drainage during monsoon. Cherry tomatoes are more forgiving of Mumbai's humidity than large-fruited varieties.
