How to grow ridge gourd on a terrace?
Ridge gourd (turai) is a heat-loving summer creeper. Use a 20-litre pot and sturdy trellis. Sow February–April directly in the container. Water heavily — once in morning, once in evening during peak summer. Feed with NPK every 3 weeks. Ridge gourd is largely self-pollinating but hand-pollination improves yield. Harvest at 15–20 cm before ridges harden. Yields 8–12 fruits per vine per season.
