What is humic acid and how to use it for plants?

Humic acid chelates nutrients, making them more available to roots. Apply 1–2 g per litre of water as a soil drench every 3–4 weeks. It's especially useful in alkaline Indian soils where iron and zinc get locked up. Avoid overuse — it darkens soil.
