When to harvest turmeric?

Turmeric planted in March–April is ready to harvest December–January when leaves turn yellow and stems dry out — about 9–10 months from planting. Carefully dig the entire clump, separate rhizomes, and cure for long-term storage by boiling briefly and sun-drying. Reserve the best rhizomes as next year's planting stock.
