When to sow spinach for winter harvest?

In North India, sow spinach from mid-September through October for best results. First leaves are ready in 30–35 days; continue harvesting outer leaves for 8–10 weeks. In South India, sow October–February. Spinach needs only 6–8 hours of sunlight and grows well even in partially shaded terrace corners.
