When to sow tomatoes for maximum yield in North India?

North India has two tomato windows. For a winter bumper crop, sow seeds in July–August and transplant in September — harvest runs October to January with excellent fruit quality. For a spring crop, sow in January under protection and transplant in March, but summer heat limits yield significantly.
