Does neem oil kill beneficial insects?

Neem oil is relatively safe for beneficial insects when sprayed in the evening after pollinators are inactive. It affects primarily soft-bodied sucking insects on contact. Avoid spraying directly on flowers or open blooms. Ladybirds and lacewings that eat pests rather than sucking plant sap are minimally affected by properly diluted neem oil.
