How long does ginger take to harvest?

Ginger requires a full 8–10 month growing cycle. Plant rhizomes in March–April and harvest from November to January when leaves turn yellow and collapse. Young tender ginger (adrak) can be harvested partially from 4–5 months onwards. Use large, deep containers (45–50 cm) and rich, well-drained soil amended with compost.
