How long does okra take to produce?

Okra bears its first pods 45–55 days after sowing at 28–35°C. Harvest pods every 2 days at 8–10 cm length — they grow rapidly and become fibrous if left even a day too long. Each plant continues producing for 10–14 weeks in warm weather. Feed fortnightly with nitrogen to maintain strong leaf growth and yields.
