When to harvest guava for maximum sweetness?

Harvest guava when skin shifts from bright green to yellow-green and yields gently to thumb pressure — usually 100–120 days after fruit set. Fragrance intensifies at peak ripeness. In North India the main crop matures October–November. Leave fruit on tree too long and it softens rapidly and attracts fruit flies.
