When to prune roses in India?

The best pruning window is mid-September to mid-October after monsoon rains ease. Cut stems back by 30–40%, leaving 3–5 healthy outward-facing buds. Remove dead wood, inward-crossing branches, and diseased stems. Seal large cuts with Bordeaux paste. Feed immediately after pruning with a balanced NPK fertiliser to drive new growth.
