How to deadhead roses for more blooms?

Deadheading signals the rose to produce more blooms instead of setting seed. Cut just above the first 5-leaflet leaf below the dead flower — at a 45° angle, facing outward. Use sharp, clean secateurs. In Indian conditions, deadhead every 3–4 days during the flowering season. New buds appear in 14–21 days after deadheading. Floribunda and modern hybrid tea roses respond best to this technique.
